Global Ministries offers a wide variety of mission opportunities that vary in duration, location, and focus. Global Ministries is a cooperative effort of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ.

Homeland Mission Interns

Homeland Mission Interns are sponsored in part by the Week of Compassion and the Division of Homeland Ministries. Summer interns work in partnership with the following Disciples Mission Centers:

All People's Christian Center, Los Angeles, Calif.
Inman Christian Center, San Antonio, Texas
Yakama Christian Mission, White Swan, Wash.
Southwest Good Samaritan Ministries, Los Fresnos, Texas (Web site being constructed)
F.A.S.T. (Faithful Advocates Serving Together), a mission program uniting Disciples, UCC's, and C.O.R.A. in the Appalachian region.

Volunteering for the National Benevolent Association

The National Benevolent Association is frequently a mission destination for congregations, youth groups, etc. NBA has 94 facilities in 22 states, helping abused and neglected children, older adults, and people with developmental disabilities. Typically, church and civic groups or individuals will contact the NBA facility directly to learn about current opportunities for mission work or ministry.
